Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an ancient medical system over 5000 years old, a form of complementary and alternative medicine which is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. This practice deals with subtle energy flows in the body to promote the healthy flow of “Qi” or life force. Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating sterile needles into various points on the body for treatment of pain or disease and therapeutic purposes. The needles may vary in size, depending upon your condition and the course of treatment prescribed.

Cupping

Cupping therapy is an ancient Chinese modality of alternative medicine. It is mostly like a deep tissue massage. Heat is applied into the cup which is placed on the skin (Fire cupping), most commonly on the shoulder, neck and back. The heat creates a vacuum effect and draws the skin up into the cup. Cupping is improving Qi (energy) flow to move fresh blood to the affected area, increase the circulation of the blood and lymph, release the toxins, and help to relieve the pain. Also, it is used to treat respiratory diseases such as the asthma, common cold, pneumonia and bronchitis.

Moxibustion

It has been part of Traditional Chinese medicine over 3,000 years like acupuncture.

Moxibustion (Moxa) involves the burning of herbal wool made from Mugwort plant, over specific points. The moxa is often formed it into a small cone and placed on the tip of a needle or rolled into stick shape and passed over the skin in wave-like motions. Smokeless moxa is used for those with sensitivity to smoke. The radiant heat produced by moxibustion penetrates deeply into the body to increase blood flow and Qi, restore balance, dispel cold stagnation from the body, and reduce pain. Moxa treatment usually combined with acupuncture is indicated for improving general wellness and treating chronic conditions such as chronic fatigue, digestive disorders, pain, arthritis, infertility, and menstrual disorders.

Auricular Acupuncture

Auricular acupuncture involves the stimulation of the acupoints located on the ear with tiny seeds, which are painless. It last for up to 5-6 days and stimulate the points by pressing the points on the ear several times each day.The ear is a micro system of the entire body with each point corresponding to an organ or body part. There are over 100 acupoints on each ear that represent the parts and organs of the human body. These points are arranged on the ear in the image of an inverted fetus. This therapy is most often used for detoxification, addiction, smoking cessation, and weight loss.

Electro Acupuncture

Electro-puncture is the use of a low-frequency micro current to stimulate points. Mini clips are attached to the needles, which creates a mild pulsing to increase movement of Qi along the meridian.
