Acupuncture is an ancient medical system over 4000 years old, a form of complementary and alternative medicine which is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine. This practice deals with subtle energy flows in the body to promote the healthy flow of “Qi” or life force. Acupuncture is the procedure of inserting and manipulating sterile needles into various points on the body for treatment of pain or disease and therapeutic purposes. The needles may vary in size, depending upon your condition and the course of treatment prescribed.
