Balance is the key to lead a healthy life and also is the foundation of Chinese medicine.
Most people today live busy and stressful lives. We know that in order to maintain good health we need to have a healthier lifestyle, but this can be difficult to achieve in practice.
The following words come from the Neijing, a Chinese medical classic which was written some 2,000 years ago, but they could equally well apply today:
“People are enslaved by their emotions and worries. They work too hard in heavy labor. They do not follow the rhythmic changes of the four seasons and thus become susceptible to the invasion of the winds.”
According to traditional Chinese medicine, imbalances in your “Qi” results in diseases. Imbalance which is resulted from long-period medications, improper diet, unhealthy life style, lack of sleep, lack of exercise, and high level of stress causes illness and symptoms of disease.
Acupuncture is used to correct imbalance and to restore health by modulating the flow of “Qi”.
